Cactus Cutters Basic Seatbore System
100% made in the USA, Cactus Cutters' adjustable Basic Seatbore System for Serdi Seat and Guide machines includes:
four different sized cutter bodies ranging in size from 1.250" to 2.00", a Micrometer Setting Instrument with a Scherr-Tumico micrometer head, two industry standard carbides for each cutter body, and a System Maintenance Kit.  Additional sized cutter bodies, types of carbide and replacement parts are available.
Our Standard Systems include four cutter bodies that are most frequently needed in the automotive trade:
1.25" with a range of 1.250" to 1.500"
1.50" with a range of 1.500" to 1.750"
1.75" with a range of 1.750" to 2.000"
2.00" with a range of 2.000" to 2.250"
Optional Cutter Bodies:
1.00" with a range of 1.000" to 1.250"*
* This cutter body comes with two sets of carbide blades:
#1 - ranges from 1.000" to 1.125"
#2 - ranges from 1.125" to 1.250"
2.25" with a range of 2.250" to 2.500"
2.50" with a range of 2.500" to 2.800"
Even though our standard system is geared toward the automotive trade, we have many customers with small engine shops. We gladly substitute the 1.00" cutter body for the 2.00" cutter body in our small engine package.

We provide a limited lifetime warranty on all of our tools and instruments.  The warranty does not extend to consumables.
Cutter Body and Balldriver - The Most Efficient Solution
Cactus Cutters' counterbore cutter bodies for Serdi machines, come standard with a 9/16" drive bore.  Our Serdi Seatbore System includes a custom designed straight shank drive adaptor for use with the Serdi Collet Drive System.  Counterbore cutter body and drive adaptor, used together, provide you the most efficient solution to boring valve seats.
We match ball drivers in our Serdi System to your pilotry. We make ball drivers in all pilotry sizes.

Cactus Cutters' counterbore cutter bodies give you the ability to perform an interrupted cut.  Replace our standard carbides with radius carbides and our cutter bodies become chamber hogs.  As our system is fully adjustable, our chamber hogs can unshroud any sized combustion chamber.  Using the 1.250" cutter body you can cut-down rocker stud boss to reduce the press-fit on the stud prior to stud extraction. Flexible, compact, multi-purpose and economical - truly a superior solution to your cylinder head rebuilding needs.
Carbides
Each cutter body comes equipped with two industry standard carbide inserts.  Each carbide has four sharpened cutting corners.  Carbides on all but the 1.250" cutter body are interchangeable giving you twenty-four cutting corners in the Basic System.  Carbides can be rotated to give you fresh cutting corners.  Carbides are replaceable and cutter bodies used with reasonable care, should give you a lifetime of use.  Never again need to braze a cutting tool!  This increases the return on your investment substantially as compared to your fixed blade cutters.  Carbides on the 1.250" and the otpional 1.120" and 1.000" Cutter bodies have two cutting corners.
Micrometer Setting Instrument with Scherr-Tumico Micrometer Head
Our Micrometer Setting Instrument provides direct-read, carbide insert adjustments.  Unlike other manufacturer's adjustable cutting systems, our micrometer spindle comes into direct contact with the carbide insert.  This eliminates the need for dial indicators and mathematical computations, reduces math errors, and increases productivity by saving time. Our custom micrometer is made with a carbide face to prevent the carbide inserts from damaging the micrometer.
The Scherr-Tumico micrometer head is fitted to a heavy-duty, lifetime, micrometer stanchion.  Our micrometer carries the Scherr-Tumico guarantee.  Our micrometer support kit includes a Scherr-Tumico Certification, instruction manual and an adjustment wrench.
Micrometers are available in SAE and Metric.
Additions to the Basic System
Balldrivers, replacement parts, carbides and additional sized cutter bodies are available and sold separately.
